Included here is the Central American country of Guatemala officially known as the Republic of Guatemala.
Of the endemic and near endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 170 species in 94 genera and 40 families. There are 2 endemic genera (marked red) but no endemic families. However, the family Phyllonomaceae is mainly confined to Central America.
