Included here is Palau - a group of over 250 islands forming the western chain of the Caroline Islands. These form part of the larger island group of Micronesia.
Of the endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 178 species and varieties in 99 genera and 47 families but no endemic genera. This list has recently been revised by Costion & Lorence (2012).
