Summary
Included here is the Altai Mountains (including northwest Mongolia), the Sayan Mountains (including west and east Sayan), the Salair Ridge, the Khangai Plateau, montane Shoria, the Minusinsk Basin, the Khamar-Daban Range, the slopes around the southern parts of Lake Baikal south of the mouth of the River Barguzin, and the area between the River Selenga and Chikoi.
Of the endemic plant information so far acquired for this zone the list includes 71 endemic or near endemic taxa in 53 genera and 27 families. There are 3 endemic genera (marked red) but no endemic families. Further information is required.
