Summary
Included here are the Caroline Islands in the western Pacific. These comprises about 500 small coral islands including Chuuk (Truk Islands), Kosrae, Palau, Pohnpei and the Yap Islands, and form part of the larger island group of Micronesia.
Of the endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 313 species and varieties in 143 genera and 56 families but no endemic genera. This list has recently been revised by Costion & Lorence (2012).
