Summary
Included here are the Channel Islands of California - a chain of eight islands located off the coast of Southern California. They include Anacapa (A), Santa Barbara (B), Santa Catalina (Ca), Santa Cruz (Cr), Santa Rosa (R), San Clemente (Cl), San Miguel (M) and San Nicholas(N). The endemic species are annotated with the abbreviations above to show which islands they occur. Species on two or more islands are annotated with W.
Of the endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 101 species, sub-species and varieties in 39 genera and 25 families but no endemic genera.
