Summary
Included here is Death Valley in Eastern California. This desert valley, in the Mojave Desert, represents the lowest and driest area in North America.
Of the endemic and near endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 42 species, subspecies and varieties in 28 genera and 18 families but no endemic genera. However, 4 genera (marked red) are endemic to the USA.
