Summary
Included here is Haida Gwaii (formerly known as the Queen Charlotte Islands). This archipelago on the North Coast of British Columbia consists of two main islands (Graham and Moresby) and approximately 150 smaller islands. Endemic plants appear to be confined to the two main islands and their presence is denoted by the letters G and M.
Of the endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are 10 species, subspecies and varieties in 9 genera and 8 families but no endemic genera. However, most of these a confined to the alpine/sub-alpine zones and this is regarded as a high degree of endemism for such a small area at such a northern latitude.
This list has been compiled with the help of Ed Alverson (Oregon).
