Summary
Included here is the Malay Peninsula roughly south of the line between the Kedah River near Alor Setar on the west coast and Songkhlia on the east coast. The northern boundary therefore crosses the border between Malaysia and Thailand. Also included is the island of Singapore, the Riau Archipelago and the Anambas Islands.
Of the endemic and near endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 624 species in 340 genera and 110 families. There are 28 endemic genera (marked red) but no endemic families.
