Summary
Included here the Mongolian Altai Mountains, the basin of the Great Lakes between the Altai and Hangayn mountains, the Ala Shan, Gobi and Taklimakan deserts, the Ordos Plateau, the Tsaidam and Tarim basins and the Lob Nor depression.
Of the endemic and near endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 135 species in 92 genera and 31 families. There are 11 endemic genera (marked red) but no endemic families.
