Summary
Included here is most of New South Wales and Victoria. It also extends slightly into the southeastern part of the state of South Australia.
Of the endemic and near endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 1090 species in 393 genera and 82 families. There are 10 endemic or near endemic genera (marked red) and 89 genera endemic to Australia (in bold). There are 3 endemic or near endemic families (Blandfordiaceae, Doryanthaceae and Petermanniaceae) and the family Boryaceae is endemic to Australia.
