Summary
Included here is the eastern parts of Kwangsi (Jixangxi), Kwantung (Guangdong) apart from the southern tropical zone, but including Hong Kong, the southernmost parts of Hunan and Kiangsi (Guangxi), most of Fukien (Fujian) and adjacent islands, and southern Chekiang (Zhejiang) and adjacent islands.
Of the endemic and near endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 286 species in 158 genera and 81 families. There are 4 endemic genera (marked red) but no endemic families. However, the Ginkgoaceae are confined to China.
