Summary
Included here is Sri Lanka and the Maldive Islands in the Indian Ocean.
Of the endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 330 species in 139 genera and 58 families but no endemic genera. One endemic genus is marked red but there is reported to be a number of endemic genera so further information is required.
