Summary
Included here is Northern China which in the north extends up to Mongolia and Manchuria while in the south it includes part of the Loess Plateau, the Shanxi Plateau, the North China Plain, the Jehol Mountains (north Hopeh mountain area), the Liaodong Peninsula and the Shandong Peninsula.
Of the endemic and near endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 147 species in 96 genera and 43 families. There are 11 endemic genera (marked red) but no endemic families. However, there is likely to be more endemics than listed here so further information is required.
