Summary
Included here is northern Myanmar (formerly Burma) which comprises the upper course of the Nmai River and part of the Irrawaddy River Basin in northeast Myanmar, while in the northwest it includes the eastern slopes of the Patkai Range but not the Chindwinn River Basin.
Of the endemic and near endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 147 species in 76 genera and 43 families. There is 2 endemic genera (marked red) but no endemic families. However, this list is unlikely to be complete since there is reported to be several endemic genera and so further information is required.
