Summary
Included here are the southern Mediterranean parts of the Iberian Peninsula, Gibraltar, and a large part of Morocco including the Haut Atlas and Anti Atlas Mountains.
Of the endemic and near endemic vascular plants so far recorded there are about 364 species in 174 genera and 44 families. There are 8 endemic genera (marked red) and 1 endemic family (Drosophyllaceae).
